Almost all Yoto Cards work with Yoto Player 4th Gen and Yoto Mini 4th Gen. The first time you play a card, make sure your player is connected to Wi-Fi so the audio can be downloaded.

Interactive card compatibility coming soon. Our 4th Gen Yoto players run on an all-new platform, so a few features aren’t available just yet. This is temporary, and we’re working to make them available as soon as possible. We’ll keep you updated with the latest information.

Yoto Player 4th Gen is made for family life at home, while Yoto Mini 4th Gen is designed to take Yoto on the go.

Yoto Player 4th Gen is the heart of the family home, with features to help with sleep, mornings and evening routines. Its full-panel night light creates a soothing glow, while the stereo sound is great for music, getting immersed in a story or settling down with sleep sounds.

Yoto Mini 4th Gen is the smaller, portable option, perfect for travel and adventures. It shares many of the same great Yoto features as Player, including the new Green Button, giving kids quick access to personal playlists of up to 20 titles for day and night, even when their Yoto Cards aren't on hand. Instead of Yoto Player's full-panel night light, Mini prioritizes portability and durability, with an IP67 water- and dust-resistant design that's ready for the rough-and-tumble of childhood.

The Green Button gives kids quick access to their favorite audio, no Yoto Card needed. Just twist to browse and press to play.

There are two playlists: one for daytime and one for nighttime, each holding up to 20 titles. Yoto Daily and Yoto Radio are included in the daytime playlist by default, with Yoto Sleep Radio ready for nighttime.

Grown-ups can customize both playlists in the Yoto App, adding audio from their library including stories, music, podcasts, radio stations, soundscapes, timers, sleep sounds and even your own recordings.

Once added, compatible audio downloads to the player, so kids can browse and listen even when they’re offline or on the move. Some audio, including radio stations and podcasts, requires an internet connection to stream.

Using the Green Button is simple:

• Line up your favorites in the Yoto App
• Twist to browse through titles and see their artwork on the display.
• Press to play the title you’ve chosen.
• Press again to pause.
• Press and hold to eject the audio and return to the clock.
• Press when no audio is playing to instantly play the first title in the current day or night playlist. By default, that’s Yoto Daily during the day and Yoto Sleep Radio at night.

Grown-ups can change which title appears first in either playlist at any time in the Yoto App. On previous generations of Yoto Player, a single press of the right-hand button provides this quick-access function.

Yoto Player and Yoto Mini 4th Gen offer kids more choice, are more personal and are better equipped for family life.

• More choice for kids: The new Green Button and Day & Night Modes give kids even more independence over their listening, letting them twist straight to their favorites – handy when their favorite Yoto Card “must be here somewhere”.
• Made for family routines: Day & Night Modes make it easy to have different favorites ready for different parts of the day – from Yoto Daily over breakfast to sleep sounds at bedtime. There are handy features like toothbrush timers too, while Yoto Player's new full-panel night light gives families even more ways to set the mood for bedtime, wake-up and everything in between. And Yoto Mini is ready to come along for it all, with IP67 water and dust resistance for the rough-and-tumble of childhood.
• A big upgrade on the inside, too: We've overhauled the technology inside both players, informed by feedback from our community of Yoto families. Audio downloads to the player faster, interactions feel more responsive, and improved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity make connecting to the Yoto App and Bluetooth headphones smoother and more reliable.

And there's more to come. The new technology inside 4th Gen gives us greater scope to develop the Yoto experience over time, bringing new features and enhancements to Yoto Player and Yoto Mini.

Yoto is designed to grow with your child, with audio to enjoy from their toddler years right through to their teens.

Yoto Mini & Player are suitable for children ages 3 and up. Younger children can listen too, with caregivers handling the device.

For little listeners, there are nursery rhymes, music and much-loved characters and stories from the likes of Julia Donaldson, Disney and Winnie-the-Pooh. As their tastes grow, they can move on to bigger stories from authors like Roald Dahl and the world of Harry Potter, alongside music from artists they love. Explore the Yoto Card library.

Yoto Player and Yoto Mini are designed to grow with them too. They're simple for little hands to use, while giving kids more choice and independence over what they listen to as they get older.

And with 1,000+ Yoto Cards to explore – spanning stories, music, learning, podcasts and more – there’s always something new to discover as they grow.

The display brings a visual dimension to Yoto's audio-first experience. Title artwork helps kids browse and choose what they want to listen to using the Green Button – much like picking a Yoto Card from their card case – while pixel icons help them navigate chapters and tracks as they listen.

When audio isn't playing, the display also works as a digital clock, with customizable day and night settings that can help with family routines – including acting as an okay-to-wake cue.

There's plenty to get you started! Every Yoto Player and Yoto Mini comes with a USB-C charging cable and a Welcome Card, which doubles as your first Make Your Own Card. You'll also find a set of fun stickers so kids can personalize their Card and make it their own. Grown-ups can then add their own recordings or audio from their library or the Yoto App, ready to pop in and play.

You'll also find a digital Yoto Card ready to go in your Yoto App library – Journey Jams with Yoto Mini and 5 Minute Stories From Around The World with Yoto Player. It's a great first listen, and an easy way to try adding audio to the Green Button or your new Make Your Own Card.

And there's plenty more to discover in the Yoto App. Alongside managing your players and Yoto Card library, you'll find award-winning podcasts, multiple radio stations from Yoto and our partners, monthly digital Yoto Cards, sleep sounds and soundscapes, alarms and handy timers for everything from brushing teeth to homework.

The App is also home to Create, where grown-ups can record or add their own audio, ready to use with a Make Your Own Card or add to a Green Button playlist. It's a mix of free audio to discover and useful features to help with everyday family routines.

4th Gen Yoto Player and Mini are set by default to ensure safe listening volumes when used with wired or Bluetooth headphones. You can check the setting is enabled. Our Yoto headphones (sold separately) also have volume limits to ensure child-safe volume limits are always on.

Even with these protections in place, in line with WHO advice on safe listening, we recommend checking that the volume is appropriate for the environment. To help your child learn to set safe volume levels and avoid hearing damage, they can speak at a normal volume while listening to headphones, then lower the volume until they can comfortably hear their own voice. Additionally, it’s recommended to aim for 60% of a device’s maximum volume level for everyday use and keep high-volume listening sessions to short periods.

Yoto Player or Mini should be kept a safe distance from children’s ears to protect their hearing.

If you’re using another plug, choose one from a well-known brand and reputable retailer. Always use the Yoto-supplied USB-C to USB-C cable to charge your Yoto Player or Yoto Mini. This lets your Yoto device and charger communicate with each other, adding an extra layer of built-in safety protection that USB-A connections can’t offer.
